01Code of conduct
EMA Catering Ltd has operated as a family-run catering business in London since 1995. The code below sets out the standards we hold ourselves to, the suppliers we work with, and what we expect from clients and partners.
We're a small operation. We can only do this work well if everyone — team, suppliers, clients — operates on shared standards.
02Treating people right
Across every concession, festival deployment and event, EMA is committed to:
- Fair pay and conditions — every team member is paid at or above the relevant Living Wage rate, with proper rest breaks and accommodation logistics for multi-day deployments
- Equal opportunity — we hire and promote based on capability, not background
- Right to work — every team member's right to work in the UK is verified and documented
- Safe working environments — full HSE compliance, public liability insurance, food hygiene certification across every site
03Supplier standards
Suppliers working with EMA are expected to meet the same standards we hold ourselves to:
- Halal certification (HMC certified) where supplying meat or related ingredients
- Documented supply chain — we should be able to trace what's in our food
- Fair labour practices throughout the supply chain
- Sustainability — we prefer local sources where operationally possible
We purchase from sustainable sources and partner with local businesses across the capital and South East wherever possible. This isn't always achievable on every menu line, but it's the working principle.
04Client expectations
When EMA is engaged to deliver catering, we expect clients (festival operators, councils, corporate event teams, partnership organisations) to:
- Provide accurate event specifications — accurate footfall ranges, site logistics, dietary requirements
- Pay agreed invoices within the contracted payment terms
- Respect the operational decisions EMA makes within scope of the contract — particularly around food safety, halal compliance, and team welfare
- Treat EMA team members with the same respect we expect them to treat clients
05Disclaimer of warranties
The disclaimers below cover the emacatering.co.uk website and general information published about EMA services. For terms covering a specific catering contract, separate written agreements apply.

- Photography and case studies are representative of EMA's work but may show events from previous years
- Third-party logos and references appear only with permission and may change over time
- Festival, council and venue references describe real working relationships but specific contract details are confidential
07Service availability
EMA Catering Ltd reserves the right to accept or decline catering enquiries based on operational capacity, scope fit, and contractual considerations. Submitting a quote enquiry does not guarantee that a service will be provided.
For specific limitations on services, please see our quote response — every quote includes the terms and limitations specific to that event or contract.
